While the final sample used to produce these figures still appears to be a good one, there are still two major weaknesses in that attempt. First, though that sample overall remains a valid one, several errors were made in the use and interpretation of the chi-square statistic. Second, there are a large number of clerical errors apparent in the database. The present study corrects those errors and increases substantially the size of the database (45%) from which the final sample is drawn. [Tomlin, 1986:21]
